Publisher's Synopsis
Norfolk's Strumpshaw steam museum is the venue for a rally held in wooded parkland each spring. Visitors to the 1999 event had the opportunity to see some 30 engines in steam, representing a cross-section of makes and types. Highlights of this video include firing up a Savage engine, driving lessons on both a Fowler traction engine and a Foden steam wagon, and an insight into an engine driver's life - at least, cooking his breakfast. Work with saws and a stone crusher, the parade of steam engines and scale models, as well as three types of pumping engine operating in the museum are also included.
