This volume combines theoretical-methodological studies and systematic as well as empirical contributions on regional, interregional, and global aspects of regionalisation in Europe and Asia as well as empirical analyses of foreign policies of countries in the northern Asian-Pacific region, including Rus-sia. In order to provide a comprehensive insight, this book presents studies focussing on political dy-namics and relations, on economic cooperation and integration, on security questions (both in a nar-row and in a wider sense) as well as on issues of cultural, political, and historical understanding and identity-building. By bringing together contributions from academics from different Asian and European countries and universities, the volume contributes to the joint and ongoing debate about the challenges or even adventures of regional and interregional cooperation and integration.
