Let us first consider the service performed by the big packer during the war. Possibly no one is entitled to any great credit for performance of duty, and I want it distinctly understood that I am not asking for any credit, but it is perfectly proper that the indisputable facts should be known at this time, when there is such appar ent willingness, in certain quarters, to criticise the five big packers merely because they are big.
