Excerpt from Statement of Facts Relating to the Election in Louisiana: November 7th, 1876
N o protest was filed with the District Court; Consolidated return dated November 11. The vote cast in this parish was Democratic, Republican. Returning Board threw out Polls 12 and 14 - 306 Democratic and 70 Republican, and refused to count Polls 1, 5, 6, 7, 8 9, and 13 Demo cratic and 150 Republican, omitted from the returns by the Supervisor.
