Chairman rose. I want to apologize for being late for this hear ing. I was unavoidably detained by several matters in both my office and in my Committee.
I would like to thank all of you for coming today. I especially want to express the Joint Committee on the Library's appreciation to our witnesses for taking the time to appear. We are looking for ward to your testimony.
This morning's hearing on the Library of Congress and its link to our Nation's state and local libraries is important and particularly timely as it has been scheduled during National Library Week.
