This annual report covers the period 1 April 1993 to 31 March 1994 and reviews the work of the Standing Advisory Commission on Human Rights including: consideration of the relevance of the Report of the Royal Commission on Criminal Justice and the manner in which its recommendations might best be extended to Northern Ireland; the Commission's work on underachievement in schools and its recommendations; and the public consultation exercise initiated by the Commission on how the law in Northern Ireland on abortion might be clarified.
