Publisher's Synopsis
COTEST '(cyclic oxidation testing), now more commonly referred to as thermal cyclic oxidation testing, is the most widely accepted way of measuring high temperature corrosion. However every institute or company involved with testing has relied on its own modifications, making comparison of results impossible. Based on an EU project to develop a standard code of practice, leading researchers in the field review the existing test procedures and summarize research on the influence of various test parameters on thermal cycling oxidation behavior, including long dwell and short dwell. It then describes the code of practice being considered by the ISO/TC 156 Working Group 13.
