Publisher's Synopsis
This little book on St. Joseph expresses my hope for a generation of healthy, holy Caribbean men, and puts forward a pathway towards this aspiration. Our experience of growing up in the Caribbean has given us a unique view of masculinity. But we are in a global culture that has its distinctive view that we also share. It is my hope that, as you journey through the pages of this book, and then, through the 33-day preparation for Consecration to St. Joseph, you find every grace you will need to dispose yourself to the vocation to which God calls you today.
God chose St. Joseph to be the earthly father of His only-begotten Son. This would not have been a haphazard or whimsical choice. God the Father would have looked for a man who best exemplified holy masculinity, a man who would be a father like the Father Himself. God's choice of St. Joseph identifies him as a role model for noble fatherhood and holy masculinity. Both of these are in very short supply in our Caribbean today. As we look to St. Joseph, I pray that a generation of men will see this noble man, this righteous man, as a model of masculinity and fatherhood. If St. Joseph is good enough to be the father of God's Son, he is more than good enough for me. I invite you to an adventure of discovering this Saint and the pathway he opens for us today.
