Publisher's Synopsis
This is a bilingual anthology of Scottish and Irish Gaelic poetry. The first Scottish-Irish exchange took place in 1971 - three Scottish Gaelic poets toured Ireland in the spring of 1971 and three Irish-language poets returned the compliment by going to Scotland in the autumn. For a week every spring and autumn since then, poets, singers and musicians from each country have visited the other, calling at a wide range of venues - from Nis to Edinburgh, from Carna to Dublin.;This book marks the completion of the first 21 years of these cultural exchanges and presents the extraordinarily rich and diverse body of poetry that has been read on the tours.
