Paul's letter to the Ephesians reveals the source of true wealth. It is not found in money, land, or stocks. True wealth is found in Jesus. We can find physical comfort in the material things of this life. The devil wants us to think this is the way to happiness and acceptance, but the apostle Paul teaches us that true acceptance, comfort, and wealth is found in Christ. This tension between the demands of the material world and the blessings found in the heavenly realm are the cause of the war between the spiritual and the flesh. Paul shows us how to wage war so that we are not deceived and defeated by a world that does not accommodate the spiritual life in Christ.
