Publisher's Synopsis
This special issue is based on a symposium held by the American Psychological Association that was devoted to the end phase of psychoanalysis. It appeared that this topic would be most helpful to all therapists who struggle with the difficulties inherent in the termination of psychoanalysis. The symposium was dedicated to Reuben Fine, the founding father, and to Bernie Kalinkowitz, the much-loved director of the NYU Postdoctoral Program.
