MY friends - I am very glad to see so many here to-night. It means well for the future of this Institution, and is an assurance that it will succeed. In fact, it all depends upon you whether it is a suc cess or a failure. I hope it will succeed or I should not have undertaken it. I turn this building over to you, and if it does good to this, as I hope it will to many coming generations, I shall be more than paid.
I shall ask Mr. Tabor to act as your Chairman to-night. I think he needs no introduction. You all know him I believe, and if you do not you have missed something which you ought not to have missed. [applause] Mr. Augustus Tabor will please take the chair.
