Previous to the destruction by fire of their elegant home located 011 the entire block bounded by Woodward Avenue, Frederick, John R. And Farnsworth streets, in the year 1891, Mr. And Mrs. Palmer occupied the Log Cabin a short time each summer. In the fall of 1897 while the present large composite house on the farm was being finished, they made their home for three months in the Log Cabin.
