He is the President and Managing Truste O Alliance for Advanced Research and Development Initiatives(AARDI) based at Chennai. An economist by education he started his career as a project research associate at centre for development studies, Thiruvananthpuram. Having completed a dozen research projects for national and international agencies, switched over to National Dairy Development Board of India in its planning monitoring and evaluation division.
