Publisher's Synopsis
Three months after the Battle of the Myriad and the world is on a knife edge. Mythicals have started to return to society after ten years in the sanctuary of the now destroyed Meliora and although humans appear to support them and welcome them there seems to be an underlying tension that it could all go wrong at any point.
Sophie has hatched the bare bones of a plan that involves sending one mythical child to school with humans to show that humanity and the mythicals can coexist. She has the support of those closest to her but even amongst them the faith they show in her seems to be blind and that just adds to the weight on Sophie's shoulders.
As tensions are about to boil over, Sophie's plan takes twists and turns that she never could have expected and her individual life hits new highs and new lows that change her in irreparable ways. All the while, a visitor from beyond the starts watches on with great interest...
