Publisher's Synopsis
Gina Mosey is not your typical magical girl.
All she wanted was to have a fun night out at the local carnival with her friends, but after winning a magical bracelet in a shooting game, Gina suddenly finds herself bonded with the ghost of Annie Oakley. And by 'bonded', I mean Annie's ghost just won't leave her alone. On top of that, Gina quickly discovers she now possesses magical superpowers based on the talents of the legendary sharpshooter. Gina quickly finds herself forced to put her abilities to the test as Pine Grove, the city she calls home, is frequently attacked by terrifying robot monsters. Controlled by the mad scientist Lady Prometheus, these mechanical nightmares have made their way to Gina's neighborhood, and have begun targeting Andre, her neighbor-friend-crush. On top of this, Gina finds herself butting heads against the Archeress, Pine Grove's long-established (and kind of gruff) superhero. As the two find themselves in ever-increasing peril, Gina is forced to step up and deal with her problems as only a hero can. Between fighting monsters, stopping runaway buses, dealing with love, zombie hoards, and facing her school bully, Gina has her hands full. Add to this some unsolicited love advice from a plucky, overconfident ghost companion, and Gina is going to need every ounce of luck she has to survive. With breathtaking action scenes and fast-paced prose, Something, Something, Magic is a blend of action, comedy, romance, and old-school magical girl hijinks that will appeal to fans of the genre, both young and old.
