Publisher's Synopsis
In Denver on Sunday the 5th of July 1970, teenage Micky prays to lose her memory. A Go sign and arrow pointing toward the bedroom door appear in her mind, so she runs from her older and difficult husband Wally. Because she never told Wally about Daddy's cabin in the mountains west of Denver, that's her destination. Daddy has been missing since her tenth birthday, and Micky hasn't seen Mama since she accused Micky of lying, so Micky ran. Now she's a solotramp, completely on her own. Free to sing as much as she wants, she writes her secrets in a spiral notebook. She knows that running away is only a hope for something more tolerable. Then her prayer is answered with a bullet.
