The German Socio-Economic Panel Study (SOEP) celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2008. This volume presents the combined proceedings of the 8th International Socio-Economic Panel User Conference, held in Berlin from July 9-11, 2008. They discuss, demonstrate, and improve the rapidly evolving state of the art of international panel data research based on SOEP data.
