Any Member not in arrears for dues may become a Life Member by paying Fifty Dollars into the Treasury of the Society at one time. The name of each candidate for membership shall be pro posed in writing to the Council by two members by whom he is personally known. Such name, if approved by the Coun cil, shall be voted on by the Society at the annual meeting, a vote of three-fourths of those present being required to elect; or, during the period between annual meetings, an affirmative letter ballot of three-fourths of those members of the Council whose vote reaches the Secretary within one month from the time of sending out the name of the candidate Shall elect. Such letter ballot elections shall be credited to the previous annual meeting and dues will date from that time.
