This is a funny, modern-day love story set in South Africa. Paula is a frustrated school teacher. At 43 years of age she longs to find someone to share her interests, and life, with. Her friend Mel convinces her to place an ad in the lonely hearts page of a farming magazine. She tells herself this is just a bit of fun, but secretly she hopes to find the man of her dreams. The school term has ended and the two friends embark on a small road trip through several farming towns in central South Africa, visiting local festivals along the way. They run into some interesting and colourful characters on their travels, including a rather formidable Post Mistress, a charming farmer named Henry and two ducks named Al and Fresco. As Paula slowly warms to the idea of exchanging email correspondence with a mystery gent she finds herself thinking more and more of Henry. Will she make a move before their holiday is over?
