Double bill of early 1960s British B-movie thrillers written and directed by Jim O'Connolly. In 'Smokescreen' (1964), a fastidious insurance assessor (Peter Vaughan) investigates the mysterious death of a businessman in Brighton. In 'The Hi-Jackers' (1963), long-distance lorry driver Terry (Anthony Booth) meets Shirley (Jacqueline Ellis) at a trucker's cafe and gives her a lift. His truck, which is carrying a valuable shipment of whisky, is later hijacked. But who tipped off the gang?
