There have been several threats in public places, such as churches in Charleston and the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho, and other national-level incidents. Hence, I wanted to start a conversation about personal safety by writing this book. We need a guide that can teach our children how to be more vigilant, stay safe, and avoid any harm that may come their way.
This book aims to alleviate concerns regarding your child's college experience rather than causing anxiety or apprehension. Its purpose is to offer insight and knowledge to aid your child in navigating the challenges they may encounter during their four to six years at college. As you go through this book, remember the significance of having open communication with your child so they can feel at ease discussing any topic or issue they may face. Moreover, by providing safety measures, this book prepares them for any situation they may encounter, such as interactions with peers and instructors. Investing time in reading this book with your college-bound child will help them transition into young adulthood and beyond with peace of mind.
