Publisher's Synopsis
The sheriff of the floating city of Shoreview investigates local Polenums gone missing. It is believed that slave traders are rounding them up to be shipped out and then sold to dealers in foreign lands. Bik, Faun, and Gaz run the Shoreview's "Dare to Trade" shop, which is usually one of the first stops from outsiders who travel to the city to trade unique and mysterious artifacts. However, two of the three young Polenums become concerned when their friend winds up missing. Upon investigating the disappearance, they end up getting caught by the slave traders as well. Their plans to free their friend now must change to a plan to escape before the ship leaves Shoreview, otherwise they will never see their families again.
