"Skills in Religious Studies" is a course for lower secondary pupils. The three books in the series are designed to introduce pupils to the nature of religious belief and to encourage a greater knowledge and understanding of the six major religions in the world today. This new edition has been revised to take account of developments in Religious Education, to be more accessible and clearly organized. The series has been completely revised to match Locally Agreed Syllabuses and SCAA Models, making it a basis for work at examination level. Tasks in every unit enable pupils to learn both from and about religions. All three books are organised by religion, enabling teachers to select the material pupils need and providing a greater balance between religions. The text has been fully revised to ensure the books are accessible to pupils. The series aims to be suitable for use by non-specialist teachers, and to meet the requirements for differentiation in mixed-ability classes highlighted by Ofsted. Identical pagination allows the Foundation editions to be used alongside the Core editions.
