Mr. John scott's Travels in France and Italy, the Editor has to regret that so small a portion of the Work was left prepared for the Press. In making selections for the sequel of that portion, he has taken all possible care to exclude every thing Which might wound the feelings of Mr. Scott's friends; and he trusts that he shall be found to have been actuated by sincere respect for the memory of that ill - fated and lamented gentleman.
