Excerpt from Sixth Biennial Report of the State Board of Health of Montana: Third Biennial Report of the State Registrar of Births and Deaths, 1911-1912
Died in Honolulu, january. 17th, 1912. Dr Treacy was President of the State Board of Health from the time of its inception in 1901 up to the day of his death. Dining this time he never failed to be present at a meeting of the Board, except on one or two occasions when he was out of the State. No matter how busy he was, or how pressing other engagements might be, he always managed to be present and to take an active part in every meeting held by the State Board of Health.
Not only did he devote his time at these meetings, but he gave this work his most serious thought and study, and was always willing at any hour to consider any subject that might be under consideration by the State Board of Health, and devoted hours at a time in discussing the questions of preventive medicine and methods adopted by the State Board of Health with the Secretary and other members of the Board.
As President of the State Board 'of Health, he was also a member and President of the Live Stock Sani tary Board, and to this he gave the same thought and attention that he did to the work of the Board of Health.
