Excerpt from Sixth Annual Report to the Legislature, Relating to the Registry and Returns of Births, Marriages and Deaths in Massachusetts: For the Year Ending April 30th, 1847
Table I, in two parts, relates to Births. The first part (p. 22) exhibits the number of male and female children, and of those whose sex is not reported, born respectively in the several months and in the several counties. The second part (p. 23) exhibits the cases of more than one child at a birth, arranged under the heads of months, counties, and sex. Table II, in two parts, relates to Marriages. The first part (p. 24) records the number of marriages solemnized, in each month, in each county of the Commonwealth. The second part (pp. 25 - 27) records the facts important to be observed in statistical tables, in relation to the ages and conditions of parties to marriage.
