Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Sixth Annual Report of the Secretary of the Maine Board of Agriculture, 1861
But while we wait for the development of institutions recently established, and the favorable or otherwise, impression on the pub lic mind, we would call the attention of this Board to the angges tions in this report relative to an agricultural and geological survey Of the State, and the introduction into our common schools of agri cultural chemistry, and particularly to some regular system of conducting experiments that will be successful, and that may be accessible to the community, which in our Opinion, might materi ally advance agricultural education.
