Lungi Christian Msusa is his name by birth but he is better known under his nom de plume of Lungi Shigo Msusa.
He was born in South Africa, in the Eastern Cape Province, in a small town, called East London. As a young boy, Lungi moved to Mdantsana township, just outside East London when he was still very young to attend his first primary school at Sophakama Primary School.
Lungi's love for writing started after he stopped working in 2019 to pursue his dream of writing poetry and short stories. His love for poetry came as the product of his love for reading literature, any kind of literature, from novels to autobiographies and poetry. Poetry, then took over his life, now all his love is to develop his poetry-writing skills.
Lungi's dream was to have his solo poetry book one day, and with "Sithandwa my love", today he is a published author. He has also been featured in so many online poetry magazines and anthologies.
His participation in online poetry groups has won him many accolades. He also manages his poetry online group called Poems & Stories.
Lungi is also collecting his poetry on a Facebook page called Bashante.
