Publisher's Synopsis
Rosi explores postcolonial themes of language and memory through her interplay of photography, performance and edited archive material
For her project Protektorat, Italian Togolese artist Silvia Rosi (born 1992) takes a photo-linguistic approach to the complex history of language under colonial occupation in Togo--once governed by the Germans, the British and the French--based on archive material from the national archives in Lomé.
