Based on a proceedings from the Ovarian Workshop developed by Dr A. Rees Midgley and held biennially since 1976, this text considers developments in ovarian physiology. It focuses on the expression of hormonally and non-hormonally controlled genes involved in the functional and morphological differentiation of cells forming the ovary. It also examines the signalling mechanisms by which endogenous and exogenous hormones and cytokines affect ovarian differentiation and steroidogenesis.
