A kindergarten boy wants a life of adventure, mischief, and mayhem just so he can have great stories to tell. Show and Tell & The Great Ice Cream Caper is the story of how Michael tries to force life to give him these stories. To accomplish this, Michael first listens as his cousins tell of pet show and tells gone awry. Then, he tries to set up the same circumstances so he can have similar stories. However, his plans do not end up as he expects so he thinks his stories are duds. In the end though, Michael does have a great story to tell after he lives out The Great Ice Cream Caper. Show and Tell & The Great Ice Cream Caper is the first book in the series: Autobiography of a Sixth Grader.
