Progressive Labor Party. They admitted to membership not only the men of organized labor but what had popularly been called by a great many the brain with brawn or brain with labor. The campaign was carried on with such scandal ous results, that nearly all the men of labor who had some self - respect had to hold themselves in the background for fear that they might be besmirched with the incidents which occurred in the campaign.
