Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Shakespeare Manual
In Chapter IV., I have given a summary of my own views on the genuineness of the plays that pass under Shakespeare's name, the relative value of the early Folios and Quartos, some tables (useful I hope) of the plays divided into Acts and Scenes, and extracts from the books at Stationers' Hall giving the dates of entry of Shake speare's works. My chief object in this chapter has been condensation and ease of reference; the matter is of course to be found in many places; for the opinions expressed, however, I am solely responsible.
