Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Selected Poems
In A Sunday Morning's Dream is found another exhibition of Mr. Grayson's rare power of imagery and felicity of rhyming. So telling an appeal did it make to the devout religious feeling of the time when published in prose as a tract by the Protestant Episcopal Society in 1857 that, at the request of the church authorities, it was converted into verse by Mr. Grayson, and in that form attained a wide circulation. It is included in this collection only because it exhibits his literary versatility as well as the broad sweep of his sentiments.
