Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Secretary's Report No 2: June, 1886
With regard to other and novel features of the Report, the Triennial Review (page I have introduced feeling sure that the record of change and progress in the University, hasty and imperfect as it is, cannot fail to be of interest to the Class which for four years filled so large a place in the life of Harvard, and especially to those whose distance from old Cam bridge has rendered frequent communication impossible, and occasional news, therefore, all the more welcome. The illustrations of buildings, etc., which find a place for the same reasons, are a novelty in Triennial Reports, and one on which I should not have ventured, on the ground of expense, had I not been able to make exceptionally favorable arrange ments with the Heliotype Company. In the Appendix, also, appears matter which it has not been hitherto the practice to publish. The cover of the Report is printed in our Class color, and has been subjected to a design by the Secretary.
