Scarfe has produced a number of costume and set designs, caricatures, sketches, paintings and photographs for theatre, television and film. His major successes include the designs for Offenbach's "Orpheus in the Underworld", the animated sequence for "The Wall" and the life-like rhino costumes for "Born Again", directed by Peter Hall. He has written, directed and starred in television programmes, and he has drawn satirical cartoons. This volume illustrates the breadth of his work.
