Sandoval's resolution of returning to those places which he had left in disgust, and in which, known and beset by enemies, he could not fail to be exposed to dangers as great as he hoped to escape by ?ying from the province which had been the scene of the late rebellion. But the truth is, that there were other motives sufficiently powerful in themselves to induce him to return to Logrono, and risk all the perils with which such a step was likely to be attended.
