Publisher's Synopsis
The Sahel, the Horn of Africa and the Gulf of Guinea are considered to be three of the most disadvantaged regions in the world due to the fact that they mainly suffer from the climate change impact, a serious sociopolitical instability and numerous adverse economic tribulations. However, despite these admittedly harsh problems, the collaboration between Africa and the European Union is highly probable to result in a number of viable solutions. The target of this book is to provide a coherent framework as regards the foremost points with respect to the highly multidimensional EU-Africa cooperation and to critically assess if and to what extend positive results can actually be expected in the near future.
