Publisher's Synopsis
Affecting workplace safety culture change is difficult in the most controlled environment. Even with defined processes, policies and procedures and regulatory guidance in place, incident prevention can still be a challenge. However, when planning for and operating under emergency circumstances, driving a safety culture can be even more challenging. If identifying, assessing and controlling hazards is difficult under normal circumstances, this can be even more so with increased risk through faster operational tempos, lacks of sleep, distractions and other human factors increasing risk. With this, safety must be integrated into all emergency operations at all times. This is safety integration.
