Publisher's Synopsis
The purpose of this writing is to promote awareness of spousal and child abuse specific to what family law judges and lawyers need to know in order to better protect minor children who are subjects of child custody and parenting time cases. For too long society has asked why a woman would stay in an abusive relationship. It's the wrong question. We should be asking why an abusive spouse believes it's acceptable to hit his wife and children and what we can do in the legal profession to protect children from further harm and to work toward one day bringing an end to violence against women and children.
