Publisher's Synopsis

Does the church need to be relevant or resistant to worldliness? This book tries to explain why the Southern Baptist Convention has caused lots of doctrinal changes since 1925 until the present time. Unfortunately, the world changes so almost everybody does change including the church. To stay up-to-date and relevant, one has to go with the times. Inability to adjust to technological, environmental, and cultural changes in the global society is a struggle and upfront for survival. This means that some of individual's choices, desires, human rights, or religious beliefs and life style need to be sacrificed at the expense of relevance and majority opinion. However, are Christians obliged to vow to the pressure in favour of majority and relevance? It is the aim of this book to explain why Christians need not allow their duty to God be overhauled at the shrine of conformity and globalisation. Any believer is challenged to do faithful missionary soul-winning work in order to at least make any change towards individual transformation through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
