In closing the hold, which was watertight, Sarah had also imprisoned with them a huge bubble of air that now made them float ... but it would not have held up much.
Crammed into the hold, as soon as Lady Anne-Marie, launched on the waters at crazy speed, landed, the men were thrown against the ceiling. Many were injured.
Sarah had tied herself to a pole.
But a new wave of terror seized them when they heard the crack of broken wood immediately after the flight.
The men looked at each other, not knowing what to do, while Sarah was intent on untying the knots with which she had tied herself and which they did not want to untie.
- We will all die, this time it's for sure! - That was how the crow exploded as soon as he saw with horror the water penetrate the hold.
Suddenly Sarah turned around.
The man was right: the water penetrated through a crack and if you looked more carefully you could see the walls becoming shiny, a sign that the water was penetrating from several sides.
