At sixteen, Sammy has her sights set on track state finals and never pays much attention to the college guys who come every summer to help her mom at their bed and breakfast. But that's before Brandon. He's athletic, and mysterious, and not that much older than Sammy. Brandon takes the job to help pay for college. It sounds easy: live in the apartment above the garage, be the handyman and groundskeeper, and then run off to the dorms in the fall. He doesn't count on finding a family.He doesn't count on Sammy running off with his heart.When tragedy strikes in Sammy's life, Brandon has to make a choice.
