Publisher's Synopsis
When Simone Beaumont disappears on Fanoe Island, leaving her nine-month-old baby crying helplessly inside her unlocked car, her family are distraught. They tell reporter Emma Frost that Simone was being stalked, and they are terrified that she was taken. With no trust in the local police, who have a history of leaving the island unprotected, Emma promises to investigate herself. She's up late one night desperately trying to unravel the facts when she hears wailing police sirens speeding towards the beach. She is heartbroken to see Simone's body being pulled from the sea, covered in bullet holes. And then a woman from Simone's baby group vanishes. Is someone targeting these young mothers?
