Jesse Talley is a ordinary person who lives in Pensacola, Florida. But, that all changes when he finds out that there is another world than his own that is called the Greek World. In the Greek World, there's more than just Gods and Goddesses; Greek Mythology creatures and places. There are also new characters, unknown creatures and magical places. In this 1st book of the 'Ruler and the Gods' book series, Jesse Talley is sent on a quest to defeat Hades who now has parts of the Athanatos powers. During his adventure, he meets Athena and she goes along in his adventure. After many destinations from Mount Olympus to the Island of Lost Souls; from Metis' Temple to a new world called Desonolis; and from Athens to the Underworld along with many other places, Jesse will have to come face to face with his new arch enemy, Hades and try to gain back the Athanatos Stone.
