Publisher's Synopsis
Shows the work of three Jamaican-born British photographers, Neil Kentlock, Armet Francis and Charlie Phillips. Through their striking and moving images, the book traces their individual journeys as they search for their own identities as Black or African Londoners, as well as the children of West Indian immigrants. All three photographers have different stories to tell but all bear witness to the great strength of mind that has emerged within the Afro-Caribbean community, as it reflects on distant traditions as well as modern situations.
