Publisher's Synopsis
Ron, a teenager with magical talents, accidentally tries a spell from an ancient book and summons a funny goblin named Green. Noticing his fascination with forbidden knowledge, his parents send him to study at the Arcanum Academy of Magic. The academy is a strict school located on a mysterious island surrounded by magical barriers. There, Ron meets new friends, including Ayla, a smart and brave girl, and soon finds himself drawn into a series of dangerous events.
Hidden in the dungeons of Arcanum is an ancient relic-the Soul Key, capable of returning the souls of the dead. Lars, who has become a spirit, wanders through the inaccessible halls of the academy, hoping to find freedom. One day, a group of students, including Daniel, Esther, and Lydia, find themselves trapped in a deadly dungeon trap, and even Lars is unable to help them. He contacts Green, who informs Ron and Ayla.
Ron, Ayla, and Green set off in search of their friends, exploring increasingly dangerous levels of the dungeons. They manage to free the captives but also discover the Soul Key itself. Using it, they bring Lars back to life, but this triggers a powerful surge of magic that shakes all of Arcanum. The professors intervene, and after long debates, the Soul Key disappears so that no one can use it again.
After all the adventures, the school year at Arcanum comes to an end. At the grand closing ceremony, Green puts on one last crazy performance. Lars announces that he will stay at the academy to catch up on lost time, while Green proclaims himself the honorary spirit of Arcanum. Ron and Ayla leave for home on an airship, but before that, Green arranges a romantic surprise for them.
However, as Ron departs from Arcanum, he realizes that this is only the beginning of their journey. The academy's secrets have yet to be fully uncovered, and new adventures await...
