Publisher's Synopsis
This volume is dedicated to the Italian sculptor and engraver Roberto Cremesini, whose rich artistic production is extremely significant for the beauty of his works. Just to mention a few examples and without pretending to be able to make any real critical judgment in my capacity as publisher and not as an art historian, among such works I would like to recall the two beautiful statues San Francis in Treviso and Calvi in Umbria, the monumental Risen Christ at Padua, the St. Thomas at the San Daniele church in Padua, the antependium and baptismal font at the church of San Domenico in Selvazzano Dentro (Padua), the Ambon and antependium at the church of Torrebelvicino (Vicenza) and the numerous and extraordinary portrait busts: those of the Gino twins and Paolo Belloni, the spouses Concetta and Ernesto Cataldo, Mrs. Costa, Anna Scovaricchi, Gianni Floriani, Ferruccio Moro and Calogero Casuccio. In short, I believe that the works of Roberto Cremesini can be considered reassuring witnesses of insightful and accurate work, with some elements in which one can distinguish a certain classicism but with absolute creative individuality.
