Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Robed and Crowned: A Memorial of Mrs. Nettie Hill Weeden
Much of this cannot be written or described by any language we can call to use. In this little volume there is no pretense or claim to special literary merit. It has not been our aim to satisfy a critical taste. Our desire has been to give a simple story of her sweet and beautiful life. Any other attempt would be out of place and would produce an unnatural likeness. To do this we have allowed her, as far as possible, to give her own testimony. This is always spoken or written in the artless simplicity of her nature.
Thus we have followed her through her early years up to womanhood have watched the dawnings of her 'religious experience step by step until she becomes a child of the kingdom.
